Official rules to follow
- Digital JPEG between 70 KB and 3.5 MB; preferred resolution 1200 x 1600 px
- Full-face view of head and shoulders, in colour, no more than 6 months old
- Unedited: background, moles, wrinkles, scars or red eyes must not be removed
- A scan of a photo or a photograph of a photo is not acceptable
- Religious head covering allowed if whole face visible; covering must be plain material without patterns
- Paper applications: passport-sized 35-40 mm wide x 45-50 mm high, face chin to crown 32-36 mm; print name on the back
