- New coloured photograph required for a new application
- Even brightness; clear, sharp focus, not pixelated
- Neutral facial expression with mouth closed
- Shoulders and hair must be fully visible
- Head gear/attire must be dark in colour against white background
- Non-coloured contact lenses only; no red eye
- Eyes fully visible; full frontal view, looking at the camera
- Must not be distorted or flipped
- Digital photo must be original, without alterations using computer software/mobile app
- Printed photos: matte or semi-matte (non-reflective) finish
- Selfies not recommended
