- Taken within the last 6 months; head and shoulders visible, looking directly at camera, eyes open
- Neutral expression, mouth closed; not altered in any way; in focus, no red-eye, no reflected light on face
- Selfies not accepted; stand 0.5 m in front of background, photographer 1.5 m away
